  • Tech Transition is a non-profit digital education project funded by the World Bank’s Youth Innovation Fund.

    Our mission is provide 200 female students expelled from university by the national education ban with access to a free online programming boot camp through Code Academy: one of the leading online coding education platforms.

    The goal of the program is to develop our students’ technical skills and provide industry recognized credentials that open doors to employment as developers and entrepreneurs in local and global markets in the tech industry.

  • The curriculum provides students with the freedom to pursue programming fields that best match their background, strengths, and interests.

    Students will choose from the following paths:

    • App Development and Design

    • Computer Science

    • Cybersecurity

    • Data Science

    • Full Stack Engineering

    • Web Development and Design

    Students will build foundations on the following languages, among others:

    • C, C#, C++

    • HTML & CSS

    • Java, Javascript

    • Python

  • Yes! This is a free bootcamp funded by the World Bank. Students will also receive monthly internet subscriptions to support their studies.

    • Female students expelled from university by the national education ban

    • Students based in Kabul

    • Reliable access to a personal home computer (note: internet subscriptions will be provided to selected students)

    • Professional English language proficiency

    • STEM-related majors

  • Students will be required to complete an entrance exam testing computer literacy and English language skills. Shortlisted students will sit for a brief interview.

  • The bootcamp starts on August 1, 2023 for the first cohort and February 1, 2024 for the second cohort. The duration of the program for each cohort is 6 months.

  • Yes! Students that successfully complete the curriculum will receive professional certificates from Code Academy.
